May 19, 2010 Events in Thailand
Dear Friends of SiamMandalay,

As you may have seen in the media, Thailand is experiencing some political turmoil. On 19 May 2010, the Thai government took action to put an end to an ongoing protest movement that has affected businesses in an area of the country's capital, Bangkok. The after effects have been wide-spread but isolated incidents of rioting by hard-line protesters. From our perspective here locally, it does look as if the worst is behind us now, and we're all thankful for that.

In light of the recent events, we feel it important to reach out to let you know that while the actions that took place on May 19th raised attention and concern world-wide in the media regarding Thailand, it remains business as usual here at SiamMandalay. Obviously, the safety of our employees is of foremost importance to us; and fortunately, SiamMandalay has not been directly affected by these recent events.
